Seven things to be proud about India
Here's the second part of Guruji's talk at the Kannada Koota Auckland Association on 10th April 2004. Guruji continued, "There are seven things to be proud about India: 1. Our tourism potential and temples, etc. 2. Our culinary traditions - no other country has such a varied and rich tradition (we all must also prepare and eat our traditional food! As always, Guruji's words are followed with action and 40 of us fortunate mortals at the Williams residence in Gisborne were treated to a Divine meal cooked by His Holiness on April 14. ) 3. Our jewellery, our clothes 4. Our spiritual knowledge, scriptures, literature, yoga, meditation 5. Ayurveda 6. our classical dances 7. Information Technology! We must develop all these even more. We are great at self criticism – we must stop this and be brave and bold! We must develop self confidence in ourselves and in our traditions. We should even teach them to others. Teach them our language through our culture, through our spiritual knowledge. Each one of you must be an ambassador of our country's culture. Make everyone your own. Do not do things superficially - do it with a feeling of belongingness!
